Walking in Memphis

February 22, 2006

Put on my blue suede shoes
And I boarded the plane
Touched down in the land of the Delta Blues
In the middle of the pouring rain
W.C. Handy - won’t you look down over me
Cause I got a first-class ticket
And I’m as blue as a boy can be

Walking in Memphis
Walking with my feet ten feet off of Beale
Walking in Memphis
But do I really feel the way I feel

Saw the ghost of Elvis
On Union Avenue
Followed him up to the gates of Graceland
I watched him walk right through
Now security they did not see him
They just hovered ’round his tomb
There’s a pretty little thing
Waiting for ‘The King’
Down in the Jungle Room

Walking in Memphis
Walking with my feet ten feet off of Beale
Walking in Memphis
Do I really feel the way I feel

They’ve got catfish on the table
They’ve got gospel in the air
And Reverend Green be glad to see you
When you haven’t got a prayer
You’ve got a prayer in Memphis

Now Muriel plays the piano
Every Friday at the Hollywood
And they brought me down to see her
And they asked me if I would
Do a little number
And I sang with all my might
She said
‘Tell me are you a Christain’
I said ‘Ma’am I am tonight’

Walking in Memphis
Walking with my feet ten feet off of Beale
Walking in Memphis
But do I really feel the way I feel

Walking in Memphis
Walking with my feet ten feet off of Beale
Walking in Memphis
But do I really feel the way I feel

This song I dedicated to my best friend Joey in Singapore. I know he’ll love this song.

She

February 10, 2006

May be the face I can’t forget
The trace of pleasure or regret
May be my treasure or the price I have to pay

She
May be the song that summer sings
May be the chill that autumn brings
May be a hundred different things
Within the measure of a day

She
May be the beauty or the beast
May be the famine or the feast
May turn each day into a heaven or a hell
She may be the mirror of my dreams
The smile reflected in a stream
She may not be what she may seem
Inside her shell

She
Who always seems so happy in a crowd
Whose eyes can be so private and so proud
No one’s allowed to see them when they cry

She
May be the love that cannot hope to last
May come to me from shadows of the past
That I’ll remember till the day I die

She
May be the reason I survive
The why and wherefore I’m alive
The one I’ll care for through the rough in ready years

Me
I’ll take her laughter and her tears
And make them all my souvenirs
For where she goes I’ve got to be
The meaning of my life is

She
She, oh she

Sematan

Trip to Sematan during CNY eve!

Btgkayan

At the Batang Kayan’s bridge, Lundu. At this point its already 11 pm. It took us 5 hours to reach Sematan because of a lot of motocycle problems such as battery, leaking radiator and cooling system problem.

Sematanlundu

Luckily my one and only green Ninja, able to reach the finish line without any problem and was able to carry 2 couples on the way (while I have to ride the other ZXR which had battery problem).

Waterfall

Boy, the boy who afraid of deep water, Me (in the middle) at Kpg Pueh’s waterfall. Water is cold and crystal clear.

We returned to Kuching by 2.30pm and arrived by 4pm at Batu Kawa junction. Raced along the way at 120~140km/h, able to sprint my green Ninja upto 180km/h at the winding roads near Bau.

It was a hard trip but a smile in the face when remembering the sweet moments with the new friends.

When I get back at 5 pm, I have to get ready for another function : Nazir’s engagement after Isya’ at the same day.
